Hello from the Farm!

Do you get overwhelmed with all of the scienc-ey reasons you should eat this food, or avoid that food?

Sometimes it's good to step back, take a look at the big picture... and ask some easy questions!

My easy, picture-based question for you today is, Where Are the Pigs???

"When was the last time you were driving down a back road or cruising down the interstate and saw some pigs out in a pasture or rooting in a forest (like in the pictures below)?"

I'm guessing you're having to think pretty hard to answer that question...

It's a common sight to be driving down the road and see cattle, horses and maybe even bison, sheep, or goats - but the pigs are a different story!

The fact is that over 90% of pigs are raised inside a large confinement building, where they are never allowed to graze in a pasture or root in the forest, or roll in the mud like they so love to do!

As you can see in the pictures above, we raise our pigs differently around here!

We believe that raising our pigs out on pasture where they are able to express their natural instincts and build strong immunity results in the healthiest possible pork!

It also results in a succulent rich flavor and texture - reflective of the natural environment that they were raised in!

The other benefit of raising them in the pasture is there is no need to give them antibiotics or vaccines because they are naturally healthy! And to top it off, their feed is FREE of GMO's, glyphosate, or any other synthetic chemicals and they are never subjected to farrowing crates or other questionable practices!

All that to say... when you take a step back and look at the big picture, it doesn't take a scientist to tell you that this is some of the best pork around!

Thanks for reading and have a blessed weekend!
