My wife Esther grills pork chops that are so juicy and flavorful they about knock my socks off!
I wanted to share her "secret method" so that your socks can be knocked off too!😋
- Prep Time:
- Cook Time:
Directions
- Season your thawed pork chops with your favorite seasonings (a favorite seasoning of ours comes from this recipe: thestayathomechef.com/easy-baked-pork-chops)
- Set out chops and bring to room temperature while you prepare the grill.
- Turn the back burner on high and let grill get medium-hot.
- Sear chops on the back burner with the grill lid open for 1-2 minutes per side
- Move chops to the front of the grill and shut the lid letting them slowly cook up to temp. with indirect heat. (~10-15 minutes depending on temp.)
- Monitor the internal temperature of the chops and remove from grill when they reach 137-140 degrees. (the internal temp will continue to rise several more degrees after they are pulled off the grill)
- Loosely tent with foil and let them set for several minutes before serving.
The most important part is using a thermometer to measure the internal temperature of the meat! Overcooking will result in dry meat!
These pastured pork chops are the "Steak of Pork" when done correctly!😋
*Esther learned this method out of the cookbook "The Farmer and the Grill" by Shannon Hayes. You can purchase this cookbook at: https://www.amazon.com/Farmer-...
