Tantalizing Tongue

Eating tongue is hard no longer! Enjoy this simple recipe!

Ingredients
- (2 1 /2#) Beef Tongue
- (2 1/2 t.) Sea Salt
- (1 t.) Thyme
- (1) Bay Leaf
- (4 T.) Butter or Lard
- (2 medium) Onions
- (1 C.) Celery
- (4 c.) Broth
- (4) cloves of garlic, minced
- (1 t.) Garlic Powder
- (1 t.) Black Pepper
- Garlic cloves to stuff in tongue
Directions
- Saute onions and celery in butter.
- Add minced garlic.
- Poke holes in tongue, and stuff in the garlic cloves.
- Place tongue in pot and pour veggies, seasonings, and broth over top.
- Cover, and boil for two hours.
- When the tongue is finished, take it out and let it cool.
- Peel the tongue and slice.
- Serve and enjoy!!
